2-Ethylhexan-1-ol
Also referred to as 2-EH or 2-Ethylhexan-1-ol, 2-Ethylhexanol is a clear liquid with a characteristic, sweet, floral odour. Miscible with most organic solvents, this chemical also possesses a high boiling point and a low evaporation and freezing rate.
This chemical is used in the production of plasticisers, lubricants and is frequently used as a low volatility solvent. Other uses include corrosion and anti-scale agents, herbicides, a fuel, paint and coatings additive, and is an ingredient in personal care products.
